500ml bottle from Hop Knocker, Durham. Wax sealed with a wick to pull the seal off for opening. Pours dark brown in colour with a beige foam head that diminishes to a thin layer and aroma of roast malt, dark fruity & dried fruit. Taste is sweetish, roasted malty, toffee, dark fruity, raisins, tobacco, leather, some chocolate and spicy earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry fruity finish. Nicely drinkable.

Tried at BrewDog Newcastle. Pale golden colour with a thin white head. Corny aroma and light sweet taste. Light body.

23/4/2018. Keg at The Box Social, Newcastle. Pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of hop, grass, citrus and tropical fruit, straw and sweet malt. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Crisp, sweet finish. Not bad but bit a little too sweet.

Tap growler fill at Coopers 8 til 8, near Gosforth, Newcastle. Black colour with a thin biege foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of coffee rind, chocolate, dark fruits, smokey roasted malt. Taste is coffee & chocolate, malty, dark fruity notes, with earthy roast bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty bitter coffee finish. Nicely drinkable stout.
