Description
Box Social Brewing was established in 2015 by father and son duo Steve and Ross Holland. The brewery's aim is to create new and exciting beers to get people talking to each other and question their perception of beer.
After a long time working out of Steve's garage, brewing beer really just for ourselves, we decided to take the plunge and set up shop in a small industrial estate in Newburn on a 6 Barrel kit. We built a small tasting room on site so people could come and taste the freshest beer possible and began working on our beer range. Four years later, we were selling out of beer faster than we could make it and decided we had to take the next step.
We moved into our new 15 Barrel brewery in February 2019. This has allowed us to create not only better beer, but more of it!

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a black with a frothy light brown head. Aroma is very spicy, licorice, maybe some fruits. Taste is similar with spicy, roasty, very aggressive on the palate.

8/5/2020. Can from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours close to black with a small tan coloured head. Aroma of chocolate, allspice, carob and dark fruit. Medium plus sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Medium plus body, oily slick texture, soft carbonation. Nicely spiced. Very moreish.

Can from the Made Inn Ashford and drunk at home. Hazy pale gold colour lasting white head. Grapefruit aroma and same in mouth. A light easy drinking session IPA. Decent I thought .

Keg at CP&K, 20/02/19. Lightly hazed faded pink with a decent off white head. Nose carries big bubblegum notes - well pulled off, cherry candy, sweet malts. Taste comprises tangy cherry, light grass, mellow acidic bite, tangy Hubba Bubba. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest puckering close. Not bad for a novelty beer.

Can. Clear pale amber beer, no real head. Palate is light and mildly dry, modest carbonation. Thin but sweetish malts, some vague lager character. Modest vanilla. Vague dried fruits. Any peanut is well buried. Wimpy!
