Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 18/10/24. Black with a tan head that escapes to the edge. Nose is ripe dark fruits, vanilla, hint of coffee, subtle bourbon, dark malts. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, figs, dates, chocolate, bourbon soaked oak, molasses, brown sugar melt, vanilla bean. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with a mellow but well stated bourbon rise. Solid well balanced and chuggable BA impy.

16 oz can picked up today at Trader Joe's because why not? Pours a hazy yellow-to-white color under a thick head. Smell has some of those hazy hop notes, and maybe some coconut. Taste takes a while to bring in the lime, but it does show up. Coconut is not over pronounced, just doing nicely along with the malt and hops. Despite all the adjunct, this is a nicely done strong IPA. Came back to say I pick up more citrus and even some milk from the lactose further down.

Pours clear gold with a one finger white head. It smells of citrus and piney hops. The flavor is at most moderately bitter with a hefty dose of malty sweetness. It’s very good though for me the one drawback is that I generally prefer more bitterness in my IIPAs.
