Can thanks to BillyT..it pours hazy deep reddish - brown with a small khaki head. The aroma is sweet, oily, toffee, fudge, vanilla, juicy, candy and toasted brown sugars. The taste is dry, bitter, toasty grain, brown bread, earthy, woody, nutty, toasted brown sugars, bourbon soaked oak, vanilla, punchy, slick, oily, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, toasted fruit cake and some spice with a drying finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Big and filthy. Like the balance to it.

Pour is a dark gold with a large white head. Aroma is a meaty smoke. Flavor is more smoky meat but not a total bacon bomb. Pretty easy drinking for a smoked beer. If you ever wanted to try a smoked beer but wanted to ease into it this would be a good one to try.

Oh boy, this pounder can is going to kick my ass @ 8%! It pours an off pale hazy thang. First big swig is fat bitter hoppy bullshit. The smell, thru a stuffy pollen infested nose, is that of heavily hopped alarming volatile resin or something of off hoppy perfume, maybe, just maybe, there is some lurid ass fruit in there, mango er sumthin? Not sure. The initial taste is like that of a terrible accident on the road, got past and slow down and turn yer neck to find out what the heck is going on. Such a hoppy one sided mess this is. Whew, difficult for any cheap pale lager lover of the american style, heheehhhehh. I'm so curious why they put this into a pounder can? Should we get a little buzz, before we find out if we like it er not? Just asking. Yes, half way thru the can I think my brain is produces extra dopamine, which travels to the sections of mind known as reward center? Jut asking again. I believe its the injection that make me feel good and I want to do more of whatever of this brew, so Ill take another swig, hehehehh. So, it seems, my first couple of big gulps are likely to make me feel good. Continuing to the end, that hoppy bitterness is mowing over my taste buds, like a rototiller thru a garden. I won't be able to taste anything else after this mouthcoating chaos. Whew. Finally, the finish leaves me wondering what the meaning of life is all about. Goodbye.

On tap at Taphouse. Near black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, cinnamon, coconut, cocoa, and marshmallows. The taste is sweet. Full body. Sweet finish with lingering dessert. Nice, maybe too sweet.
