Description
Pictish Brewing Company is a small independent brewery established in April 2000 by Richard Sutton. Early in 2013 Richard decided to opt for an easier life and skive off leaving things in the hands of his old friend Paul Wesley. We brew a wide variety of high quality cask conditioned ales and deliver direct to the licensed trade in the Lancashire, Manchester and West Yorkshire areas.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A straw coloured pour with a loose white head; floral aroma; quite oily in the mouth with some caramel, malt and hedgerow fruit; followed by a solid herbal bitterness. Another excellent single hop beer from this brewery.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A bright pale amber pour with a loose white head; tropical fruit aroma; full bodied with a fresh grapefruit taste with some earthy notes; and a strongly bitter finish. Very good indeed.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A pale straw pour with a soapy looking white head; floral aroma; herbal bitterness, with soem grapefruit peel and blackcurrant leafs; then a lasting fresh bitter finish. Rather good.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A pale amber pour with a loose white head; biscuity aroma with some herbal notes; sweet in the mouth with a grainy body; and a dry floral finish with a lingering herbal bitterness. A satisfying golden ale.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A pale amber pour with a loose white head; floral aroma; floral taste with a light biscuity body; then a fry finish. Moreish, but rather thin.

Cask (Cask, Manchester) - Copper red in colour. Raisins, berries and malt in the aroma. The taste is fruity and malty with notes of rye, blackcurrant and raisins. Bitter finish.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A dark straw colour with a thin white head; grassy aroma; biscuity body with a lemongrass taste and an watery bitterness. Quite pleasant.

Cask @ The Baum. Rochdale. Clear golden with a creamy head. It's a malty ale with some sugary hoppiness. Has a fair bitter finish.

Cask @ Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale. Straw blonde with a creamy head. Has a stated bubble-gum sweetness in its taste with a full berry-sweet nose.
