On tap at the downtown taproom after a long day. Only new beer I could see. Pale hazy. Yeasty mass on the nose; fresh bread. More herby than coriander, bittersweet leaning sweet. Savory white bread, cream, lemon, orange pith. Yeasty trail. Keep cold & it'll be okay.

Purty, clear 14k gold. Custom, old-school, wide-mouth, bubbly glass pour @the downtown tap room. Honey malt, strong ale, apples, pears, super thin, pushy champagne bubbles in my nose. Rich, sharp, honey oats, lingering lemon, minerals, butter, salt & whiskey. More strong ale than barleywine, but tasty is tasty. Thin, unusually bubbly. Deceiving for 12%. Fun.

Had this twice at the downtown taproom on different days. Slightly different experience each time. Wide mouth low-ball at Pegasus downtown. Smokey, bitter sharp, melted mallow, raisin & rich. Dark, opaque, really lacy & leggy. Sharp, raisin-y malt, maple, acidic ash. Lots of lush sweet char. Somehow finishes dry. Excellent. ----------------------------------- Half pour at Pegasus. Frothy, cola head. Not quite black body. Mellow whiskey, blueberry, brown sugar. Taste is whiskey, iron, cookie dough, dark berry, char finish. Excellent.

Pint at the downtown brewery. Clear, dark brown, half flat black cola. Dusty, mellow carob, hint of smoke, brown bread. Minerally, soft smoke, subtle earthy sweetness, very mild char, low acid. Too thin. Okay.

Half pour @the downtown tap room. Clear, filtered, cola pour, weak head. Sour smoke, inviting toast. Smokey & softly sweet. Lightly charred & sharp cereal. Acidic. Thin. Kinda good.

On tap downtown. Clear, super bright & filtered. Confusing for a saison. Floral, citrus, ginger, neatly spiced nose. Taste is bitter earth, floral, tea, ginger. Thin, soft wheat toast, lime pith, kinda complex. Very nice & not overdone spices. Pretty good.

Half pour downtown. Clear, vibrant, very dark amber. Black pepper, gentle rye-like toast, tea. Spicy black pepper, sweet rye whiskey, hint of smoke, perfectly caramelized malt, soft tea tannins, subtle acid at the end. Wet with a dry finish. Great.

Half pour at the downtown location. Super bright & clear gold. More sulfur on the nose like their new cider. Dried fruit, lime. Kinda ugly blend of old apple, newspaper, lime, salt, cereal & earth. Too busy & off.

Sixer from Central Market outside of Dallas. Stemless wine glass back @ the bnb. Clear, dark iced tea amber, lingering oatmeal lace. Sharp, toasty, oatmeal-like nose. Taste is bitter toast crust, a little itchy, unsweetened tea. A little thick & not super easy; boozy.
