From a 330ml bottle on 27/11/2016 (shared by Butz, with thanks). Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a biggish head. Has a pleasant mild fruity, hoppy nose. In the mouth, it’s got nice sweet, stone fruit flavours, with some caramel biscuit malt. The hops are moderate to firm, Medium bodied with average carbonation. A very solid and enjoyable red ale.

Dark brown color. Massive dark fruit and plum, deep burnt raisins, fudge, rum soaked cake. Amazing nose. Full body, tons of dark fruit, plum, chocolate, rum so fucking amazing depth. Modest bitterness. A bit of sourness and dark fruit. Amazing.

Bottle. Clear copper with a scant coat of beige head. Floral and spicy aroma with sticky bread, peaches. Bittersweet with caramelised - almost burnt - bread crusts, some peach. Dries out a bit at the end so the bitterness really creeps up. Tea and some pepper at the end. Solid, old fashioned.

750ml bottle in a stylish presentation box from Beer Cartel, Sydney. Bottle 260 of 700. Pours black in colour with a beige foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of roast malt, milk chocolate, coffee, nutty. Taste is roasted malt, dark fruits, liquorice, chocolate & coffee, raisins, boozy, grassy with some lingering bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, warm dry roast bitter finish. Very drinkable.
