Sampled with Knut Albert on the train from Oslo to Moss. Brown-yellowish lasting head over a hazy brown body. Delicate fresh floral aroma. Nice hoppy flavour with rich fruity depths. Bitter finish, but rather abrupt ending, though. Medium mouthfeel. Very moreish (Thanks to Knut Albert 20.11.2006).

Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68. Hazy redish brown, creamy head. Rich hop aroma with lychee and grapefruit. Dryish with clean mouthfeel. The crisp malt and light body leaves plenty of space for the hops to shine. They deliver loads of pleasant aromatic hop flavours, yet the bitterness appears low at first - but does creep up on you. A very good beer. It would be interesting to get to try a version with more beefed up malt.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms
Hazy amber color; frothy head. Wonderful hoppy aroma, fruity. Good malty body, medium structure, with a good hopping, powerful and aromatic; in the end the malt is fading (what a pity), to leave room for the strong bitterness and dry resins from the hop. Powerful and good.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms
Black color; creamy head. Nice and delicate aroma of roasted malt, with Digestive cookies and light hops. Medium-light body, the flavor is basically from the roasted malt, with a touch of acidity deriving. The final is bitter with too much burnt sugar. Not bad, but too monodimensional for me.

(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm, 20 Oct) Amber colour with huge white head. Fruity nose with lots of berries (blueberries, crowberries, raspberries). Fruity, slightly roasted, taste with notes of berries, caramel and earthy hops in the finish. Very good balance with a nice hoppy character, without straying too far from the main road.

Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm. Clear copper colour, fairly brief head. Resiny hop aroma. Fairly light bodied with clean, crisp mouthfeel. Notes of grapefruit and apples. Salty somewhat resiny finish with good bitterness. A bit too streamlined for my liking.

(Draught, Stockholm Beer Festival, 7 Oct) Dark amber colour with ruby notes, foamy, but small, head. Fruity nose with toffee, toasty malt, nuts, caramel and English hop aromas. Malty taste with caramel, nuts, spices and some rubbery notes. Nice beer, but wouldn’t suffer from a little more of everything.

Draught at Söderbärke Mikroölfestival. Ruby colour, small head. Spicy nose with notes lavender and juniper berries (even if these are not the spices added), as well as grassy hops. Medium bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Complex and intriguing flavour from the mix of spices, hops and caramelly malt. Rather light for a Christmas ale, but who cares with all these flavours?
