Hazy amber with a lasting white head. Strong aroma of classic American hoppiness, grapefruit and pine, with caramel malt in the background. Rather dry malty flavour with a hoppy bitterness and a sugary sweet note that’s not so good.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy hazzlenut brown with a slowly collapsing light tan head. Grapefruity and dense caramel malt aroma. Flavour is solid hoppy with a mild apple fruitiness and a solid caramel malt base. Holds a distinct oily grapefruity flavour too. Finish is light fruity and medium solid bitter. Ends medium dry.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Pours an almost clear deep amber with a creamy yellowish/beige head. Very aromatic hoppy nose - somewhat dusty. Quite full-bodied with a base of sweetis caramel malts, some fruityness and a fairly solid bitterness in the finish. 060608

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Slightly hazy dark reddish brown with a creamy and lacing yellowish/beige head. Fat and somewhat rustic hop aroma that isn’t completely pleasant - has an odd whiff of vegetables. Quite full-bodied with loads of caramel in the base and a somewhat dusty edge. Solid bitterness in the finish. But overall quite nice in spite of my complaints. 060608

500 ml bottle@SBC 2008. Dark reddish/brown body with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, candy sugar, caramel and a hint of warming alcohol. Flavor is sweet, slightly roasted malt, fruity, brown sugar, some alcohol and a fine moderate bitterness makes this feeling a bit dryer than a typical Belgian dubbel. Very nice and dangerously easy drinkable. Well done Dugges!

Draught at the Rover, Göteborg
Black color; creamy head. It has a medium aroma of cardboard and roasted malt. Smooth flavor, round mouthfeel, with a good and balanced mix of roasted malt, caramel and very dark chocolate, that hides a nice hop; salty. The final is balanced too. Well brewed.

(50 cl bottle at the brewery)On May 31, 2008Shady straw color, white head. Fresh hoppy and fruity scent. Nice bitter hoppy taste and a sweet fruitiness. A bit thin mouthfeel, but nice for the low ABV. A bit low bitterness.
