An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and a flowery dusty hop note. The flavor is very sweet with lots of caramel, which makes the mouthfeel a bit sticky, combined with alcohol lurching in the back ground. The hops notes are flowery - with a touch of lime - a combination of English and American hops? The body is thick. My first guess would not be an IPA, rather a English Strong Ale.

(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg) Clear red-brown color, tan creamy head. Nice dominant hoppy taste. Very nice hoppy fruity taste with a bit banana and bitter aftertaste. Nice smooth mouthfeel. High but not too much bitterness. Very nice IPA!

Draught at Bishops Arms (Västra Hamngatan) in Gothenburg, Sweden. Had "DSB" and Dugges Special Bitter on the label on the tap. Golden color, white head. Very fruity and hoppy citrus scent. Big bitterness and medium high mouthfeel. Dominant (American) hoppy taste. Citrus and grape hops, as well as bitter aftertaste. A really nice beer balancing on the edge on how much "clean" bitterness I can take in a beer.

Sampled at the brewery. Very different from all other brews I’ve tried from Dugges. Sort of orange golden hazy color, creamy white head. Initially very yeasty Belgian scent, but when the head settles some fruitiness appears as well. A bit watery mouthfeel and fairly low bitterness. It’s not bad, but it’s not among my favourites either.

(Draught at The Rover, Gothenburg, 6 July) Colour is dark ruby, almost mahogany, with a firm off-white head. Nose is malty, rather roasted with notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate and a nice flowery hop character. Taste is malty and fruity with notes of dark cherries, chocolate, berries and nuts. Nice, hoppy finish. Nice and well balanced bitter, the fairly low abv makes it very drinkable.

(Draught at Delirium Café, Gothenburg, 6 July) Colour is amber, slightly hazy, with a big, frothy, but quickly disappearing, head. Nose is malty and nutty with hints of butter-scotch and chocolate. Taste is malty, nutty with notes of dried fruit and toffee. Hints of yeast as well. Nice, well balanced finish with just enough sweetness and hops. To be honest it’s not very Belgian, but it is a very nice brew.

Draught at Bishops Arms (Västra Hamngatan) Gothenburg, Sweden. Difficult to see colors well in the rather dim lighting, but the drink seems black. Big beige creamy head, lasting. Initial citrus hoppy scent and some burnt aroma, even before I’ve removed the protecting head. Burnt flavor with some acid, but not much, long lingering chocolate aftertaste. Citrus hops in the taste after a few sips. Also a bit of the American hops in the aftertaste. Medium bitterness and mouthfeel. Refreshing and very nice, highly recommended!

[Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm] Hazy amber with firm rocky head. Marked flowery hop aroma. Medium sweet with fairly soft mouthfeel. The nice, bready maltiness combined with a generous amount of flowery hops makes it a very aromatic, distinct and enjoyable beer. Finishes with medium bitterness. The best yet from this rather new brewer.
