Can: Poured a cloud/hazy orangey color ale with a small foamy head with limited retention or lacing. Aroma of orange juicy with light tart notes is really reminiscent of mimosa. Taste is closer to mimosa than actual beer but really enjoyable and refreshing. Body is full with good carbonation. Really hit the spot on a hot summer day.

Can: Poured a dirty cloudy/hazy yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry citrusy hoppy floral undertones. Taste is a mix of juicy citrusy hops undertones with some dry hops and no residual sugar. Body is full with good carbonation. Enjoyable but dryer than I was expecting.

Can: Poured a cloudy/hazy reddish color ale with a small foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of tart raspberry with some fruity goyave notes. Taste is also a mix of refreshing tart raspberry notes with some goyave notes and light residual sugar notes. Body is full and similar to smoothie sour with good carbonation. Solid fruit sour with nice refreshing factor.

(355ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours fairly hazy deep gold with a small but stable white head and lace. Aroma of candied lemon and lime, orange pulp, perfumey floral vanilla, something a bit like guava, lactose backbeats, pineapple type kveik in there. Flavour of sweet creamy floral vanilla and lactose up front, candied lemon and lime again, orange pulp too, light pithy and piney bitterness, some smooth fruity kveik but not so much pineapple, for me it’s not quite orange enough to be a creamsicle but I see the reference. Malt body is very retiring. Vanilla kicking all the way through into the aftertaste. Light to medium body, slick, average carbonation. Definitely a dessert-ish IPA even though we drank it as an aperitif; not necessarily my typical style but I definitely enjoyed this one.

(355ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours hazy yellow with a decent white head and lace. Aroma of canned fruit cup (pineapple, peach, mango, oranges, berries) with syrup like sweetness, citrusy florals, some slightly grainy bready malt. Flavour is mid-sweet up front, dominated by canned pineapple, some orange and grapefruit, table grape, softly fruity yeast, lightly grainy cereal base, drying and moderately bitter into the finish with grapefruit and orange peels, citrus oil, pith, slight peppery hits of resin and green onion, some hop burn in the aftertaste that’s harsh. Light to medium body, fairly light carbonation. Had a can of this shared with me before and enjoyed that sample a bit more. This time I thought it was solid but a bit more cereal and green heat than I'd prefer.

Aroma of sour notes with some funky Brett and some light floral hoppy notes are also perceptible. Taste is a mix of sour funky notes with some light floral hoppy notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. OK but nothing really special.

(355ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City - 100% Simcoe) Pours very cloudy gold with a decent white head and some lace. Aroma of Kveik-y canned pineapple, peppery piney mangoes, hints of tartness atop some sweetened bready malt, citrus peels, super-fruity and quite nicely yeasty. Flavour matches the nose, very lightly sweet and very lightly tart pineapple-forward, some mango, decently peppery conifers, smooth soft resins, honeyed feeling to the malt body, a little garlic but no heat to it, low bitterness. Light bodied and oily with soft carbonation and a nice drydown without booze for a high ABV beer. A nice yeast-driven surprise with a solid Simcoe support.
