12/11/12/10/9/10

Clear mahogany with a creamy an lace - nose of toffee, raisin, bread pudding - fairly creamy and smooth mouthfeel - sweet, rich maltiness, with notes of date, treacle, caramelized sugars - a bit of a harsh acidity near the end, but it subsides quickly - lingering toasted grains and toffee sweetness - decent.

Got 500 ml flip-top bottle in a trade with CaptainCougar. Pored into my Weizen glass. Hazy copper, nearly brown color. thick full head that stayed and produced some good lace all the way until empty. Lots of lively carbonation. Aroma is a lot of malt with a raisin or vegetable like smell. Taste is big time malt with a thicker wheat/ yeast backbone and a touch of hops. Also notes of bread or biscuits. I have no idea what beer some of the other raters where drinking. but it WASN’T this one. This to me is borderline a Weizen bock and has some really good flavor. I would drink this again. The key is getting a fresh bottle and not one sitting on a self forever.
