Bottle. It pours like champagne, looks like champagne. Translucent straw yellow with no head, highly carbonated. Nose is different, notes of apple, and reminds me of white wine. Also a big pepper note. Taste is initial fruit sweetness, is a cider, apples, mild honey, mild spicy black pepper and tropical fruit. The pepper helps balance the sweetness.Texture reminds me of a cider. Really decent stuff.

Bottle. Hazy light straw body, no head. Sharp nose of honey and potpourri. Sweet, sweet body. Like, very sweet, with some floral tannic elements but still sugary as hell. If hell is sugary. Which it probably isn’t, except that implies hell exists, which it doesn’t. But forgive these saccharine digressions and take away this: this is one sweet-ass motherfucking mead.

750 mL bottle from Greenlife, Asheville. Pours a clear very pale yellow color. No head, moderate legs. Vinous, winey aroma with notes of citrus and wax. The taste is sweet honey, citrus, faint wood, fruity finish and a bit of hot wax. Medium bodied, fairly hot. Good mead, but I’m still not digging orange blossom honey as base for mead.

Pours very pale yellow, clear, bubbly, no head....just little white islands. Aroma is strong... honey, grapefruit, almost a cheesy funk. Taste is quite sweet, honey, citrus, citronella wax, white grape. Graduates to a slight, peppery, medicinal bitter. Interesting stuff.

500 ml bottle received in trade. Thank you lionsandbeer! Pours tiny hazy reddish golden with a small fizzy golden head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fruity with sweetened white bread, red apples, black cherries, honey, hay, cinnamon, apple sauce, dry apple cider, cherry pits, dry wood and hints of sour cherries and cherry hard candy. Taste is sweet and fruity with black cherries, sour cherries, cherry hard candy, sweet apples, cookie dough, honey, lemon zest, cinnamon, cloves and hints of apple cider vinegar and ginger. Mouthfeel is slightly round, tiny sticky sweet, slightly fruity tart and light to medium bodied. Finish is sweet and fruity with apples, cherry hard candy, hay, sweet white bread, cherry pits, sour cherries and honey. Not sure if I love or hate this but it’s solid, very solid...

50cl bottle pours a crystal clear, very light straw gold, looks like Sprite. Zero head. Nose is honey right up front, some citrus, mostly a bit of smelly feet, soap, some honey comb, lemon lime soda. Flavor is the same, it’s an odd mix of honey and lime, almost like a funky Sprite, some perry too. Medium, slightly bitter finish.
