Cask at GBBF 2023 - Day 1. Pours clear red-brown with a bubbly tan head. Light sweet flavour, well toasted malts, cocoa, coffee, earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with mellow warmth, more roast, cocoa, earth. Not bad.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. A light haze on this amber brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and low on carbonation. Flat watery brown malts. Some suggestions of caramel and ripe fruits. Dry finish. No offensive flavours here but dull as dishwater.

12/1/22, brewery draft. Hazy orange-bronze. Medium-sized off-white head. Juicy citrus and light tropical notes. Clean, funky, yeasty, some phenol, but lots of cracker and juice. Reasonably clean. Not sure if gluten reduced equates to poorly malted, thin, tannic texture, but they're 2 for 2 on that so I'm giving up.

Brewery draught, 12/1/22. Clear golden-amber-honey. Off-white head, slowly to ring. Tannic malt, peachy fruit and light spice from hops. Clean, not very British or minerally. Soft, tannic, peachy, herbal, hint of toast and fruit. Blase not very English character. Mostly toasty and peachy with tannin and sourdough. Light bodied, needs more depth. Clean.

5.5% abv spicy hops, lingering bitterness.

Slightly flat, needs more squash.

Nice citrus notes, balanced, smooth.
