Bottle, at SinH4-5K-MoritzF-10K tasting. Pours cloudy amber with a medium head. Aroma is butter, bread crumbs, some grassy hops. Body is medium, dominated by carbonation, over some sweetness and a strong bitterness. Pine juice, old-ish hops, some grass. Quite dry palate. Okay.

Fläschla: Clear, chestnut-amber coloured with a ruby sheen, big persistent creamy - almost - tanned head, moderate to distinctive - more Bocky than smoky - caramelly and fruity nose with some well hidden traces of smoke and wood; almost robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, very soft; lingering drier and a bit hoppier caramelly, toasty, chocolatey and fruity finish. Pretty complex, very pleasant...

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, murky ruby brown colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Slightly toasted malty, delicately wheaty aroma with notes of caramel, chocolate, marzipan and a whiff of smoke. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly toast-malty and slightly wheaty taste with present notes of chocolate, a tinge of caramel and shades of smoke, backed by herbal and subtle fruity hops; sweet-bitter and mildly chocolatey finish with herbal-spicy and late-arriving fruity hops. 04.IV.17

Hell, leicht trüb, zügige Perligkeit. In der Nase kaum wahrzunehmen, etwas Zitrus. Im Trunk sehr cremig, Mango. Erinnert mich an ein schwaches New England IPA. Außergewöhnlich. Muss der Ariana Hopfen sein. Insgesamt sehr leicht, nicht bitter, 1A Sommerbier.

Fläschla: Pale golden, hazy, quite stable medium-sized white head; distinctive (sourish-) fruity (raspberries!) and yeasty nose, some dusty malt in the background; sourish-sweetish flavour with a certain bitterness, unfortunately pretty light bodied, almost watery; less sourish, more sweetish-fruity and bitter finish. O.K., but not my favourite Bier from Franconia...
