Bottle at Cafe Abseits, Bamberg 20/7/2013. Hazy orange in colour with a decent, tight, off-white head. Grainy malts, yeasty fruits, a touch of grassy hops and relatively gentle finish. Enjoyable.

Tapped at the brewery: Light amber coloured, hazy, medium-sized rocky off-white head, bready-toasty-malty nose with a rural touch; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied for a beer of 5.2%, but fortunately really soft; slightly lingering sweetish-toasty finish, followed by a little bitterness. Not really great…

Tapped at the brewery: Golden, small white head, herbal-hoppy and barnyardy nose, accompanied by a delicate fruitiness(bananas, peaches); moderate sweet - bitter flavour, quite soft and not too light bodied; slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish. Not exciting, but decent enough…

"Amber Spezial", Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, 15.1.2013. - Antrunk frisch malzsüßlich, etwas herb-fruchtig, sehr rezent.

Bottle: Deep golden, a bit unclear, smaller - slowly diminishimg - yellowish head, mild - but distinctive - herbal-hoppy aromas in the mildly-fruity and grainy nose, presumably slight traces of cinnamon detectable; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty soft, light to medium bodied; lingering fruity and hoppy finish. Very pleasant stuff - from Franconia…

(bottle) Foggy, orange-golden colour with a blond and huge foamy head. Slightly acidic fruity aroma with notes of citrus, shades of banana and a moderate wheat-character, accompanied by delicately phenolic spices. Slightly bitter and sour flavour, rather light bodied with a modest carbonation for a Weizen. Fruity wheat-malty taste with notes of citrus; slightly sour, wheaty and mildly phenolic finish. Not an outstanding but refreshing Hefeweizen. 19.XI.12

(bottle) Hazy, golden to amber colour with a big and off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty and bready (cara-)malty aroma with hints of grain, subtle fruity notes and a tinge of spicy hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Fruity malty taste with grainy notes and a touch of white bread; hops are present but stay in the background at first to evolve a bit during the mildly fruity malty finish with a mildly grainy aftertaste. Very pleasant. 16.XI.12
