18 oz. can from Total Wine in Greenville, SC. Thanks Kathy! Pours a clear bronze color with a thick khaki head and very good retention. Good lacing. Caramel malt aroma, maybe a little souring? The taste follows the nose, with caramel malt flavor with some light souring notes in the finish. Hmmm, something is off. The can is dated 7/8/25. Drinkable, but disappointing. It doesn't taste like a normal Marzen. Medium body. Light carbonation. Not bitter. I'd like to try a fresh can.

Can bought at Kerrera, Guildford. A hazy-opaque gomd. Thick frothy foamy white head has legs. Aroma is sweet with a sour edge. Yeast..Candy. Citrus. Medium bitter. Sour citrus edge. Fruity. Kinda metallic element. Underlying candy. Punchy. Medium bodied. Slick-oily. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Just too overpowering for me. Doesn't work too well.

473ml can from 'The Beers of America'. It's Election Day in the USA (late 5th November 2024) and I'm drinking American beers while I watch the voting unfold. Anyway this can will be live rated in my living room and poured three times into an old 'Gaffel' Kolsch tumbler. Clean and clear golden body, large white crown on each pour. Grainy front, a little harsh for a Kolsch actually. I don't actually enjoy a traditional Kolsch, I find them too bland and uninteresting, this is a lot better than most I've come across.

US pint can (only 473ml) from 'The Beers of America'. 6.7% ABV. Poured into my lovely 'Judas' glass at home on 28th September 2024. Slight haze to the golden body, lasting white crown on top. Belgian yeasty aroma and initial taste, on the sweet side and 'just nice', really enjoyed it.

16 oz can from the local Lowes grocery, Greenville. Shows a lightly hazy pale yellow. Aroma is moderate yeasty esters. Flavor of bubblegum, pale grain, and light straw. Lighter texture with a mild yeast finish. Overall, as one would expect it be.

Can from Rallys at home 18/08/2024 New US brewery ✅ not getting much Kölsch characteristics here, getting a more sweet malty toasted vibe, cereal, nutty, some caramel, yeast, grain, medium to light body, toasted and sweet malty finish. Not to style but still a decent malty led number. Love that Rallys is sourcing lots of new breweries right now.

Pounder from GBX. Lo-Ball @home. Inky brown on black, opaque, still pour. Leathery, dark fruit, condensed grapes, wood nose. Leather, grape skin, grape pomace, old bourbon, more than a bit of oxidation, meaty malt, semi-sweet, caramelized, a touch too acidic & sour, Okay.

Amber color with a spicy and sweet bubble aroma. Taste is typical tripel sweetness with a spicy and alcohol finish.
