Very pale yellow. Quite cloudy. Fairly non-descript with a little wheaty tartness and very light but clean pale maltiness. Why do brewers make so many of these characterless beers?

Super light golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of hops, pale malt and some sweetness. Medium-bodied; Astringent hoppiness with some floral tastes. Aftertaste clean and crisp. Overall, nice and fresh. I sampled this beer on 15-May-2004 at the May RB Party in Toronto, Onatrio.

Very pale colour. Aroma of slightly bready pale malts. Thin body. Empty grain husk taste. Bland. I was drinking a totally different beer than everyone else, but I know my pilsners and this is not good.

Blonde ale with a thick resilient white head. A nice grassy aroma with fresh malts. Big malt tatse with lots of german style hops, very sharp bitterness , almost harsh but still pleasant. Good balance of sweet/bitter. My fellow poker players also enjoyed quite well. Thanks to Presario!

Is a pale amber color with hints of raspberry and a dry grainy finish. Pretty much what I expected.

Was lacking cherry character and even though it did have a good roasted malt and chocolatey taste, I found the body a little watery which turned me off a touch.

Very dark burgundy. Cherry Coke aroma. Slightly tart body, with occasional dark malt notes. Thin. Not awful, and thankfully not cloying either. I like what the did with the fruit - tartness, hint of flavour, no sugars (despite the aroma). Were the base beer a little fuller this would be quite effective.

Gold amber, with small white head. Honey hops with light citrus and cloves. Woody notes in mouth, with citrus, light hops and some scotch. Good body. (rated NY 2004)

2014 re-rate, draught @ National. Hazy amber-copper, thick head. Earthy, some yeast, light toasty malt, on the palate there’s decent bitterness, a touch of orchard fruitiness, maybe too much yeast but overall it’s just more of a throwback IPA, lacking the brightness of modern examples.

Original 2003 rate: Bright orangey-amber; curranty, leafy hop aroma, with blood orange and light toast. Fresh, fruity hop palate - apple, salmonberry, lime. Vibrant hoppiness, but understated toasty malts. Sweetish for style. 7-3-6-3-13 = 3.2

It is quite hoppy but also has a good amount of caramel malt and a smooth body to make it a well balanced IPA. Not as aggressive as PNW IPA, but the caramel malt add a freshing new twist.
