Description
In 1894 the Obergärige Brauerei Heinrich Reissdorf was founded by Heinrich Reissdorf in the Cologne Severins neighbourhood. In 1923 the brewery started to brew bottom-fermented beers and it became the Privat-Brauerie Heinrich Reissdorf. Through the years it stayed in the family.

In 1996, the Privat-Brauerie Heinrich Reissdorf acquired today's company premises in the industrial area of Cologne-Rodenkirchen. With the new production facility, a brewery was created, which is equipped with the latest brewery technology and meets the highest quality standards.

50cl Bottle from REWE Stenten. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of grain, light lemon, malt. Flavour is medium sweet, light malty, light grainy, very light bitter finish. Light bodied. Boring and pretty tasteless.

Bottle. Aroma is sweetish grains, a bit fruity. Taste is the same, but overall surprisingly dry. Clean and refreshing. Not bad, but not super either.

16.9 oz. bottle Large pilsner glass No dating found A: Awkward pour from the big longneck yields 1/2" of dense white foam. Very good retention and sheeting. Crystal clear tawny pale gold color. S: Light grassy hop smell hits first. Equally light balancing cracker malts. No grape or funk detected. Slight perfume. T: There’s the grapes. Crisp tart fruity flavor is fairly pronounced. Not much complexity. Classic Kolsch though still no mustiness noted. Very light, subtle flavors. M: Very soft, fine beaded carbontaion along with almost fluffy light body means this is extremely nice going down. Drinkability is through the roof. O: Glad to finally get the chance to have and rank this classic. It won’t rewrite any books but a very well made classic and obviously one of the best of the style. If you do like Kolsch ale this is certainly a must try. Another import, however with no dating info being the only caveat.

Bottle. Nose is cereal, grain. Taste is cereal, a little caramel, grassy, almost no hop profile, bread. Mouthfeel is full. It’s another example for me of the baffling ordinariness of many German beers. Inoffensive.

330ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Grainy, strawy, minimally spicy aroma. Taste is pale malty, minimally strawy, mildly grassy hoppy overtones, a lemon dash, cautious spiciness. OK.
