Bottle at Navigation Inn, Buxworth - Clear yellow body, little white top. Grassy nose, nit of biscuit. Taste is a little metallic. Nothing special.

Cask at Brunswick, Derby – an extra beer because my train was cancelled ! Pours almost black with no discernable head. Aniseed and roast malts in the nose. As might be expected, aniseed again in the mouth, plus dark fruits, liquorice and roastded malts. Nice enough but not particularly memorable.

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Station Hotel, Oakengates on 2nd Aug 2021. Golden body, clean and clear; white crown on top. Light citrus front to both the nose and taste, but it's all a bit understated and bland from start to finish.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a pale straw with a small white head. [ In fact I couldn't tell it by colour from Ashover Chatter Alley had to call back the bargirl to ask her which was which !] There is some generic citrus in the nose. Citrus again in the mouth, along with a chewy straw flavour and hints of caramel. Fairly bitter in the finish though. Pleasant enough I suppose.

Cask @ Station Hotel, Oakengates. Pours clear deep gold, good white head. Aroma presents light doughy yeast. Taste is smooth, light with a nice balanced yeasty sweetness, great condition.

Bradford Beer Festival 2020. Golden and is a steady-hoppy brew that's fairly crisp. It has an extremely mild sweetness.

Handpull cask at the Cask Bar, Darwen. Dark brown, slightly translucent. Notes of oak, slightly burnt toast, a bit of milk chocolate. Taste is bittersweet and somewhat vegetal with a balancing hoppy note at the finish. So-so.
