Description
Beers are a beautiful thing and we’re very proud of ours here at Empire Brewing. An established micro-brewery situated amongst the rolling Yorkshire hills of Slaithwaite, we’ve been producing fine artisan ales for over a decade.
From a humble garage-based micro-brewery to the slick operation you see today at our boiler house by the canal, our beers – and the way we do things – have come a long way. But our values remain exactly the same: to produce creative and dynamic artisan brewing you’ll love.

Handpull cask at the Dead Poets Inn, Holbrook. Not really amber but golden and clear with a tiny ring of white head. Sweet orange candy aroma with a touch of spruce. Taste starts sweet but quickly turns bitter. Massive bittering hops on the finish but far from astringent. Very traditional beer but the balance is spot on.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Black with a thin off-white creamy head. Vanilla and chocolate are both heavy tasting, and the ale has a good smoothish texture for its strength.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. An opaque ruby red colour with a thin beige head; earthy toffee aroma; rather thin with a nutty caramel taste; then some coffee grounds in the finish. A proper old-fashioned mild.
