Bottle from Greg and Jane’s Huge carbonation, a gentle pour produces half a glass of bubbles and a hazy yellow liquid with a steady stream of bubbles. Clove and spice on the nose with bits of pepper sweet bread white wine and earthy yeast. Crisp bubbly refreshing beverage. I enjoyed it.

650 ml bottle. Mildly hazy golden color with lasting bubbly head. Aroma is peppery Belgian yeast, pale grain, and noticeable funked Brett.
The base Tripel with the peppery yeast, clove, sugar is noticed with a healthy dose of brettanomyces that gives a lasting sourness through the sip. Yet it doesn’t end sour at all. The whole beer is kind of a contradiction. It’s sour but it’s not. Pretty interesting take on the style and I appreciate the slightly different attempt on the style. Chances are this would sour quite a bit over time.

Bottle from a Lazy Dog Slightly hazy deep straw color with a decent but short lived bubbly white head. Light honey malt big clove on the nose. Faint earth. The flavor is sweet bready honey maltiness, some warming alcohol, bits of clove and some light earthy funk. Decent beer, clean well made, But it seems like its in a transition between clean triple and brett infused. It either needs more brett character or none at all. I might pick up another bottle because I’m quite curious how this one would age.

Bottle pour into taster cup at Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is clear light brown with minimal head. Aroma is earthy, and floral/fruity hops. Taste is as aroma and, since this is an English-style IPA, its earthy, fairly restrained hop profile is fitting but those wanting a bitter bomb or bold, juicy hop flavors might be disappointed. Palate nice and crisp. Overall, as stated in taste, this is a decent English IPA but I’d prefer something a little more bold.

Bottle pour into taster cup at Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is dark brown/black with thin ring of off-white head. Aroma is dark fruit, chocolate. Taste is as aroma. Palate is smooth from the oats. Overall, a nice crafted beer--above average all around.

Bottle pour into taster cup at Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is hazy light brown/dark orange. Aroma is moderately strong sweet fruit dominant. Taste is as aroma. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation. Overall, only a small taste/experience with it but it was a good, competent DIPA with decent flavor. Enjoyable but not a category beater.

650 ml bottle. Lightly cloudy amber with weak white head, no lacing. Nose is a lot of toffee, caramel and a yeast note. Weak earthy hops up front in the taste, quickly fading to a mild caramel sweetness, and finishing on more toffee or caramel malt. Rather thin in body, lower carbonation. Gosh, way to sweet with an odd (not pleasing) yeasty hint.
I am glad this is not the 1st beer I ever had from this Brewer because this would not leave a good first impression at all. I hope this brewery reconsiders this recipe.

Thanks to Puboflyons for the fresh growler share. Fill two hours ago! Hazy golden brighr yellow color. Aroma is bright citrus, some light rind or pith. The flavor has a great level of citrus. The rind gives the bitterness and balances the fruit. Nicely constructed beer.

Bottle from Bert’s Fairly hazy deep golden color with a small smattering of white bubbles on top. Rich caramel and toffee maltiness on the aroma with faint earth at the edges. Flavor follows the aroma quite well. Rich toffee and caramel with a bit more earthy hop than the nose suggested. Medium body with a light level of carbonation, lingering bitterness in the finish reminds me a little of aspirin. A bit heavy on the toffee and caramel for a pale ale, might work better as an amber ale or back off the specialty cara malts. Carbonation is also a bit low but you take that gamble when you bottle condition. Decent enough beer, just not really as advertised.

Bottle from Bert’s Hazy light golden color with a decent sized long lasting bubbly white head. Banana and citrus on the nose with bits of sweet bread malt and a hint of spice. Sweet cereal bready maltiness with lots of banana flavors. Light pine and citrus hops with just a touch of earth and spice to round it out nicely. Wow thats a pretty damn good beer.
