Description
Inspired by norse mythology, 3 ravens tells the story of an unlikely trio: hugin, munin & jack. Hugin and munin were ravens loyal to the god odin who were sent on a quest to find the secret to human happiness. Jack, the third raven was sent by loki to rattle ’em with riddles. The three ravens forming to combine sight, knowledge and creativity to concoct a magic potion is much like our own story: a group of friends—banding together in their thornbury basement—to create unique australian beers.

Can. Nearly black with a modest light tan head. Aroma is roasty, woody, spicy and chocolaty. Had some beers with cacao husks before and it's an interesting and distinctive ingredient. Lowish carbonation is well judged. A little sweet but with various drying elements - bitterness, woody husks, spices, roast. I like the weight here - everything has room to move, it's not shouty at all.

375ml can from Beer52. Hazy yellow-gold, thin head, minor retention. Aroma of pineapple, orange, mango, very juicy. This is replicated in the flavour with tropical and citrus hop notes and only a modest bitterness in the finish. Moderate body and carbonation; a little softer would have been better. Overall very good.

Can at my brother’s place. Cheers Jon. Pours clear mid gold with white foam. Aroma & taste: pale malts, kinda grainy. Light sweet & bitter. Towards medium body with soft carbonation. Quite mundane all in all.

Can. Clear pale amber, brief white head. Aroma of crackers, weeds, earth, hints of tropical fruit. Dryish, quite earthy, only hints of fruit, modest bitterness is enough given the light malt. Not convinced.

375ml can at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Poured mostly clear yellow golden colour with a big frothy white head and lots of champagne bubbles. The aroma is malt and fake sugar. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a light, somewhat watery, crisp, mineral, lemon citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation.
