Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours Pours gold with a slight white head. Lots of fizzy bubbles. Aroma is a soft orange. Med body - lots of carbonation. Flavor is vanilla/orange with something reminding me of a long ago soda. There’s a root beer characteristic in the aftertaste.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark brown, cola color. They nailed the look - a little more carbonated than Not Your Fathers, but still a touch under the normal "soda" carbonation - not a problem though. Aroma was heavy on sarsaparilla, birch, vanilla. A touch medicinal. Vanilla notes, birch. Very drinkable - alcohol is slightly noticeable, but it’s easy to drink this one down.

Clear light copper coloured body with an orange glow and a thick, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh grassy and herbal hops with some resinous notes as well, but not much else - hardly any malt at all. Light-bodied; Sharp herbal and grassy flavour at first with literally no malt and only a touch of sweetness at the end - very simple. Aftertaste shows the grass, herbs and a faint glimmer of hops with no malt, no depth and no structure. Overall, a pretty poor beer with no malt nor complexity, no balance and not much else aside from light grassy and herbal hops. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 08-January-2016 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Washington on 16-January-2016.

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy orange color. Rocky white head. Yeasty malt nose. Sweet yeasty malt flavor has notes of orange and lemon peel. Earthy notes with a hint of sourdough bread. A tasty brew, but not very much of a winter style.

12 oz bottle from Vons in Atascadero. Nose is cinnamon, anise, vanilla, and brown sugar. Clear dark brown with a medium beige head. Flavor is sweet root beer.
