Keg at the brewpub. It pours clear deep amber with a tiny beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, oily, honeycomb, resin, candied stuff, caramel and fruit cake. The taste is bitter, resinous, wood, leather, caramel, nut, mild acidity, earth, cereal and toasty grass with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A pretty bitter bitter. Decent though.

Keg at the brewpub. New name for the Razz perhaps? It pours reddish-amber with a small white head. The nose is rather nice.... sweet, juicy, fresh raspberry, candy, jam and such like. The taste is smooth, crisp, toasty grain, cereal, raspberry, light lactic notes, berry yoghurt with a dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Aroma is decent. Simple fruit beer.

Tap at the brewpub. It pours darkest brown with a tiny beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, juicy, milk chocolate, candy, hot chocolate, malt loaf and horlicks. The taste is bitter, earthy roast, some acidity & tangerines, cocoa/dark chocolate, ash, charred wood and a touch of pepper with a lingering dry-roast finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Easy-going stout. Fine.

Keg at the brewpub. It pours clear deep amber with a small, bubbly white head. The nose is soft, juicy, peach, nectarine, apricot, mango and tart tatin. The taste is bitter, earthy, toasty grass, spice, bread, oily, resin, wood, apricot and just a touch of honey with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Lovely aroma to it. Solid beer.

Keg at The brewpub. It pours deep red with a small off-white head. The nose is sweet, juicy, oily, candied peel, red berry and jam. The taste is bitter-sweet, oily, juicy, red berry, strawberry, earthy roast, grass and jam with a short, dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Errs towards being too sweet, but drinkable enough. Standard brewpub red.

A golden amber ale with a thin white lacing off white head. A pleasant malty aroma with good British hops, floral, veering on c-hops. In mouth, a decent hoppy ale with nice light British hops, a bit of grapefruit, light but quaffable. On tap at brewpub, Oct. 11 2009.

Cloudy beige. Rich, sweet banana and icing sugar nose. Very sweet flavour is like Cuban fried plantains. Vague sugary, spicy things round it out. Starts to become a chore towards the end of the glass, though.
