Cask handpull at York Tap Clear copper russet colour. lasting beige head. red ale yes it has some rye sting to it some spice. no doubt. it's a decent rye cask ale. condition is OK. .spicy finish is really nice though. I like the dry bitter spicy finish .

500 ml bottle, as Allendale Wagtail English Bitter, from Ales by Mail. ABV is 3.8%, IBU 33. Hops are Target, Fuggles and Goldings. Malts are pale, amber and dark crystal. Deep golden colour, a slight haze in the finish. Moderate to low white head. Aroma of malts, dried fruits and marmalade. The flavour is moderately malty and fairly fruity, hints of caramelized orange marmalade, but not really sweet. Moderate hops in the finish.

Suffolk Northeastern Beer Out In Car Park Meetup: Poured a deep black with some red edges, head is light brown. Aroma is thick hazelnut, nutty, roasty, chocolate, toffee, sweet. Taste is chocolate, hazelnut, roasty, malty, toffee. Very full body.

10/4/2021. Can shared with SHIG at the Suffolk North Eastern Beer Out In Car Park Meetup. From CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours black with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of hazelnut, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, biscuit and a touch of winter spice. Medium plus sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Very nice.

500 ml bottle, as Allendale Black Grouse Oaked Porter, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4%. Malts are pale, amber, crystal, wheat, chocolate and cara. Hops are Target, Fuggles and Bramling Cross. IBU is 17. Dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee, hints of oak. The flavour is mid between dry and sweet, with the same elements as the aroma, a hint of caramel. Very moderate hops, a little more would not hurt.

330ml can. Orange-gold, small white head, nice retention. Aroma is malty, orange, green flora. Taste is malty, citrus, spicy, semi-dank earthiness, bitter finish. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Its an interesting take on an IPA, quite spicy, but not sure its that tasty.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo, arrived with the last box right before UK's insulation - thanks a lot and Happy Christmas!]. Clear, copper-ish, chestnut colour with average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Toasty, nutty, caramel malty and floral, minimally fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of toffee, toasted nuts, a touch of petals, very cautious hints of red berries. Taste is slightly dry, floral hoppy and toasty malty, hints of hazelnut, a touch of petals, moderate hop bitterness. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Very clean, rather simple, relatively hoppy - OK.
