OCB has been hitting, hopping and dosing brews with creativity since acid-washed jeans were hip β throwing a bit of kind into the kettle whenever possible. Look for our hop-soaked ales and delicious lagers around New England and the mid-Atlantic.

Looks like your classic marzen, translucent coppery orange with a whispy white head. I was surprised by the amount of hops in the aroma with a background of grain and yeast. The flavor was fantastic. Malty and sweet but incredibly balanced. I think the low alcohol allows the essence of fall to come through in this beer. I loved this beer, itβs everything good beer should be, subtle and savory and greater than the sum of itβs parts.

Pours mahogany into a shaker. Tan head quickly dissipates to oil surface. Chocolate aromas. Roasted espresso with a dry, thin lasting smoke finish.

Pours deep amber into a shaker. Head quickly subsides to skim rim. Sweet, creamy and malty - like an attempt at an HSA. -- but doesnβt quite live up.

This pours as a clear, medium gold that sits beneath a fleeting white head. Dry spicy malt aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet with a touch of dryness as it approaches the finish. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of any new flavors that should accompany a true Sahti. You just canβt hide juniper very easily and I detected none in this. Still looking for a good Sahti.

Pours orange gold into a shaker. Off-white pancake head leaves sheet lacing as it recedes. Crisp with upfront sweet caramel with a lasting bitter metallic finish. Not an alt.

Bottle: Rich, dark brown pour with a medium tanned head and little lacing. Aroma is mostly burnt malt with some coffee and chocolate. Taste is more heavily roasted (pc for burnt) malt, coffee, chocolate, and some bittersweetness in the tail. Good, but it would get a higher rating if the body werenβt so thin.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small tan head. The aroma was sour, tangy, and roasty malts with a light chocolate undertone. The flavor was moderately dry and gritty with a moderately strong roasty malt base and light hints of chocolate and coffee. The finish is sour and bitter.
