Can from Great Grog. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of peach, orange and pine. Flavour of Lockets, brioche and mango. Medium body with a smooth, frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A juicy, slightly sweet IPA.

Notes from July 2009 On cask. Took home a baby growler from New Beer. I think it was around $9 & change for 22 ounces. With Otter Creek's track record, maybe I should of stuck to a random sixpack & a whole lot of samples instead? Into my Ommegang stem it goes. Decent settling on a cask for once. Still not bright, but better then the chunky-style minestrone I get served from time to time. A very slightly hazed brown amber, with just a trace of comb-over. It's probably going to be flat. There was just a hint at carbonation at the store, so I'm guessing giving it a few hours for me to catch my breath was assuming too much. Upfront sweet tea scent, followed by a cheesy crouton & pesto herbal quality. Soggy grapefruit rind. Ugly, greasy butter. Isopropyl itches my nose. Taste it totally different, though it's questionable if it's any better. Sweet cracker & minor caramel upfront, followed by grappa burn, ending in total astringent grapefruit rind stickiness. It lingers, drying any past syrupy notions to the bone. It sticks around like residual mouthwash. First time I've had hops lose so little in the format change. So lopsidedly bitter, the hops had a hard time being anything more then straight bitter. I faintly remember sharing a bottle of this & thinking better of it. Or maybe I just want what I can't have(my ten dollars back).

Notes from August 2009 Bottle from my ABF mixed pack. Horay? Smudged bottled date: ?/12/09 Pils glass pour. A stiff caking of dusty white head fills the glass. Body is a crisp & clear, yellow gold. A little swirl near the end turns the brew a cloudy pineapple. Smell is a very assertive mix of coriander, powdered sugar, vanilla & wildflowers. Taste has a lavender thing going on. Sweet/bready malt upfront, bitter/soapy middle mass of clove & yeast, a touch tart & gummy, with some refreshing OJ at the end. Brew starts off feeling chalky, but is highly carbonated & flushes itself right out. The best stuff I've ever had from these guys.

Pale yellow colour with light haze and fluffy head. Quite citrusy. Touch of lime peel bitterness. Fairly sweet finish.

Can, 0.355l. Aroma of pine, herbs, citrus and biscuit. Pours cloudy dark golden color with large soapy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy citrusy and mild tropical fruity, following is resinous, herbal and slightly bready, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Free falling…
