Bottled. Amber coloured with very little head. Light grapefruit aroma. Clean crystal malt character. Good, juicy hop presence throughout well into the balanced finsih. Lingering bitterness, but not overly so. An enjoyable APA.

Had this one on draught at the Old Bag of Nails pub here in Columbus. Dark amber color with almost no head and very little lacing. Light malty aroma. Flavor was disappointingly thin, I was hoping for more malt and spice for a winter brew. Finish was thin and almost vinegary.

Cool organic concept, though the beer was pretty mediocre. It had a pretty bland hoppy taste, not very crisp, needs more excitement for an IPA. Not that it tasted bad or anything. the beer was fresh and had a good body, maybe they should relabel this, Wolaver's Amber Ale.

Chestnut brown. Sourish nose, medium bosied, medium sweetness. Crystal malt and toffee flavours. Rather low bitterness. I probably got an off sample, i remember it as being better a few years ago.

Dark chestnut; nose has oranges, some slight band-aid, plums, wood, munich malts; more dark malts in the palate - hints of wood, dark rye bread crust, and earthy maltiness. A little light on the palate for the style (like a lot of more famous ales in this style, like Belhaven Wee Heavy) for my liking. Finish gets quite sweet and sticky, with more smoke emerging.
