OCB has been hitting, hopping and dosing brews with creativity since acid-washed jeans were hip — throwing a bit of kind into the kettle whenever possible. Look for our hop-soaked ales and delicious lagers around New England and the mid-Atlantic.

Acquired by Long Trail in 2010 with the brewing facility eventually sold to Whistle Pig. Currently operating as a brand owned and marketed by Harpoon.

Bottle. Hazy golden with an inch of white foamy head. Smells of lemon peel, pine, and is slightly floral. Tastes of lemon or lemongrass. Meh.

12oz bottle from a Wegham’s in Buffalo, NY. A hazy amber pour with a trace of white head; pleasant honey aroma; gentle, sweet, floral taste, well balanced with just a touch of honey; but lacking any finish. A refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable beer.

12oz bottle from a Wegman’s in Buffalo, NY. An unattractive hazy amber pour with a tight cream head; aroma of stewed vegetables; soft sweet taste with some caramel and Belgiam yeast; and a dry vegetal bitterness giving a slightly rasping finish. Not at all good. Probably not an IPA.

Bottle at home in Salisbury. Pours hazy gold with some floaties and a creamy white head. The nose has some biscuits, wheat, lemon, zesty orange. Light-medium sweet flavor with slight bitter straw, light grass, lemon rind, light spices. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Well balanced to finish with more zesty citrus, mellow dough, lightly salted biscuits. Very drinkable beer.

Orange peel and grass nose. Cloudy golden, medium head. Yeasty clementine, light malty sweetness. Rather Belgiany, but not in the sense of a witbier necessarily. Good.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky dark orange-tan color with a large foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet with notes of grapefruit, orange and a bit of pineapple. The flavor was bitter and tart with grapefruit, orange and lemon. Long finish. Medium body. Solid.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks zvikar. Dark brown to black with a small tan head. Pleasant coffee beans aroma, a bit vegetal. Bittersweet roasty flavor with coffee, a bit "green", and a mild vanilla note. Medium-bodied. Good.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Hazy yellow with a nice white head. Lovely hoppy aroma full of tropical fruits, citrus and a bit of grass. Flavor has light graininess, a sweetish note, fruity hops and nice bitterness. Medium-bodied. Very good and refreshing.

At holly wood gardens, nice place. Except for the aroma, this comes across more like an IPA than a lager. Looks like a pale lager tho.
