Description
The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains our flagship pub based in Salthill; our owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brew pubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and have grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. We now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.
With the installation of our new brew house we are turning our focus towards exporting and making our beers available in the UK and Europe

500 ml. bottle @ home. Obtained in a trade with tlahav. Thanks! BBF 03.16.2016. Hazy, fluffy & creamy off-white head. Very solid & lovely head. Nose is big very raw & medicinal grapefruit hops, medicinal mango & exotic fruits, very raw, floral & bitter, quite phenolic. Taste is hugely medicinal, huge bitter hospital, extremely bitter pine resin, very bitter plastic, very bitter floral mango, strongly phenolic,… Bitterness lingers and turns to very bitter plaster, big hospital & medicine, crystal malts, very bitter floral,… Hugely raw, faintly grainy,… Pure extreme bitterness, no balance & the bitterness is so medicinal & hospital like,… Plaster & hospital bitterness really lingers in your mouth,… Far too brutal for sadomasochistic hopheads who are all about bitterness and nothing else. Not my cup of tea to be honest.
