Description
The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains our flagship pub based in Salthill; our owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brew pubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and have grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. We now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.

With the installation of our new brew house we are turning our focus towards exporting and making our beers available in the UK and Europe

Milky yellow straw colour. Creamy and persistent white head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of mango, papaya, oat, various citrus, lychee and some herbs. Appropriate medium bitterness. Good.

Can at home. Pours a rather deep brown with a beige head. Nose is dark chocolate, cocoa powder and toffee. Taste is dark chocolate, light coffee notes, cocoa powder and a faint herbal touch. Moderately bitter. Closes with a bitterish, chocolatey finish, has a light body and soft carbonation. The roasted notes were a bit over the top for my liking, but a solid porter anyway.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth start to the palate, good fine carbonation on the back end. Smooth malts, a nice sweetness, vaguely honey. Complex hop array bring light cooling pine and a mild hop spice. Peachy citrus and Superdelic berry candy. A little tropical fruits on the back end along with a touch of citrus peel bitterness. Fairly light finish. Clean and complex. Nicely done.

Nitro tap at The Beer Temple, Dublin. Roasted malts, coffee, ashy notes and dark chocolate on the surface with a sweeter, caramel-y base behind it. Easy to drink, smooth, full for what it is.

On tap at The Beer Temple, Dublin. Ez annyira nem adta ki, édeskés, gabonás, de elbírt volna több keserűt balanszként. Nem vállalhatatlan, de nem eléggé kerek

On tap ath The Beer Temple, Dublin. Viragosan könnyed, gyümölcsösen édeskés, kellemesen száraz, nagyon jó kis pale ale

Tap at The Beer Temple, Dublin. Classic American IPA, a touch uninteresting maybe but surely without flaws.
