On tap at HopCat Madison pours a deep, brick red on the verge of brown with some lacing, white head. Nose is very true to style, nutty, toasty, malt, some soap, resin, dried citrus peel. Flavor follows, chewy grains, toast, soap, malt, pine. Full bodied and dry. Solid.

Pour is a clear orange with a large white head. Aroma is an ok hop not striking but there. Flavor is more a caramel malt with a very minor hop in the backround. Finish is a heavy dose of malt. It had a minor hop presence so it was not awful but in the large world of IPA’s you have to go all out and this did not.
