Can. It’s a clear, dark golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is rather corn-ish, with some caramel hints and a touch of fruityness. It’s sweet on the palate, medium bodied and soft, with some caramel flavors and next to no bitterness. Fruityness and some grass and a wee touch of corn too. Medium length finish. Not awful this one, but the aroma is close. Please drink ice cold. 150616

Pours a clean pink colour with a fizzy head that disappears quickly leaving no traces. Smells like rich sugary berry yogurt. The taste is sweet as well, but not syrupy, so pretty refreshing overall. The malt liquor is lost in there with alcohol hidden and hints of grain. More on the cooler side of things, but brewed with malt liquor. I don’t mind this.

Man it hurts me to see people from Michigan, Alberta or Nova Scotia drinking this ...uh... beer. Ontario can do so much better. Really. Clear golden yellow zero head. Nose light on the malts, little mild yeast, slight lemon. Taste very similar, with light malts, little mild citrus, generally this a weak sister. Not impressed.

This malt liquor pours a golden colour, not completely filtered to the max. Good frothy white head with good retention and some creamy lacing. The nose is quite mild with some corn and maybe a little malt. Slightly creamy mouthfeel with some stickiness. Typical malt liquor taste with the sweetness and fake chemical hops. Corn then lingers. Not the worst for this style, but one that is still hard to finish.

Can: Poured a medium amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light bitter hops with light caramel malt hops. Taste is also dominated by bitter hops with a limited flavour profile with some lightly sweet caramel malt notes. Body is a bit light with good carbonation. Taste like an IPA that was brewed at the turn of the century.

Part of their small batch sampler at the LCBO, fall-winter 2014. Pours a dark brown colour with creamy beige head and lacing. Big sweet aromas of butterscotch syrup that is poured over vanilla ice cream. The taste is not as sweet thankfully, and the vanilla is mild to not be gross. Nice roasted malts in the finish with some hops. The smooth vanilla lingers nicely. Did not like my first sip, but gets better as it goes. I see what they were trying to do here, and it is different from the Mill Street version.

Part of their small batch sampler at the LCBO, summer-fall 2014. Pours a clean golden colour with a frothy warm cap, average retention and some traces of lacing. Cereal grain aromas with some spicy hop that appear after breathing. Hints of honey as well. Medium bodied with some light stickiness. Flavour of caramel underneath and a metallic touch. Decent dry finish from the hops that seem to take over the grain in the taste. Not sure this is right for this style, but a decent brew overall.

Big fucken can @ the rake dungeon via Secret Krampus. Thanks! Pours a light yellow appearance with a white head that dissipates pretty quickly. The aroma is much like Miller Lite - lots of corn, grass, and hay - maybe a touch of grape drank. Moderate carbonation. Moderate high sweetness. Low bitterness. Dull grainy flavor with maybe a hint of metal. Not horrible but I’d probably take a Miller Lite over it.

Can - Bright breakfast grapefruit. Clear pale gold with a decent white head. Effervescent sweet grapefruit and very soda like. A little too sweet and no real beer notes.
