Description
We’ve always relied on our wits to give us an edge. We tried things others wouldn’t and refused to let being smaller keep us from thinking big. To become masters of our craft, we had to be pretty darned crafty. This spirit is at the heart of everything we do—and in every drop we brew.

Bottle, as Porter 68, US import. Retro rating from when in California. Poured almost black with a small tan colour head. Aroma is malty, light roasted, some chocolate. Light sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, rather too much carbonation, but that aside an ok porter.

Bottle in California, US import. Retro rating. Poured very pale gold with a short-lasting white head. Unappealing aroma of grain, malt and grass. Fairly sweet, light bitterness. Light body, thin texture, high level of carbonation.

This session poured a medium Amber colour with a quickly dissipating, spore like head. Scents include honey, hops and caramel. First swig was quite good with medium/low hop level and nice maltyness. I’m not a big fan of Sleeman but this is a lot better than the rest. Finish is slightly bitter with honey/grassy notes lingering.

Can: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of light dry citrusy notes is a bit light for style. Taste is a mix of light dry caramel malt with some dry citrusy malt with no floral undertones. Body is about average with good carbonation. Bland and doesn’t have much hops presence.

Bottle - Very Skunky with a touch of toast. Clear gold with a small white head. Touch of skunk and a plain finish. Smells horrible and tastes marginally better.
