Pale yellow-gold; slightly irregular small head. Very dry grainy nose. Dry, again very grainy taste, tastes nearly completely attenuated. Unfortunately, then a little wet hay flavour comes up, getting bitter, and as rotting wood. Light MF, but caustic. Terrible aftertaste, like wet, rotting cardboard. DIRTY wet rotting cardboard. Starts off pretty good. But then...

Bottle. Very metallic aroma. Clear chestnut brown colour, looks flat. Light brown head, quite unstable. Peppery flavour, some liquorice. Slightly slimy mouthfeel. Dryish aftertaste which I find quite unpleasant.

(Bottle 25 cl) Very unclear orange - almost muddy - and darker than the typical Belgian Wit. Quite full-bodied, almost champagny with a hint of bitterness. A Wit for darker months of the year. 220501

Bottled 25cl (BB 04/2006)
I suppose according ABV (5.8%) and descriptions that my "Bavik Ezel" is this one. Came in nice "frozen" glass.
Orange color, good creamy head. Nose has banana sweetness plus some yeast. Medium-bodied. Soft malty. Alcohol is evident. Some orange peels and wheat in the flavor.

(Bottle 25 cl) Pale golden with a slight haze. Very lively and carbonated. No real malty feel but a very dominating bitterness on a rather light body. Not really in balance. 310899

(Bottle 25 cl) Golden beer with a small, disappearing white head. I can understand why the Belgians add sweeteners to their dark, malty table beers, but I simply cannot grasp why "zoetstof" is added to this pils-type low alcohol. This doesn’t taste completely horible, but it’s closer to some sort of diet pop. As a beer it’s a joke. 250899

Hazy, golden colour. Huge, fluffy head. Yeast and citrus aroma. Sweet, alcohol-bitter flavour. A drinkable Triple, but I’ve had better.

(Bottle 25 cl) Reddish brown and filtered beer with a nice, dense head. Some smoky/burned malty notes. Neither sweet or full-bodied, rather dry and bitter. Unusual but interesting. 140599

Bottle. Aroma has a hint of fruit. The colour is clear golden. The head is very big, white, stable and rocky. The flavour is fruity with a tannin-like bitterness. The fruityness is nice, but the bitterness not so.

(Bottle 25 cl) Very pretty clear amber with a lively, full head. Fresh and fruity nose, and not quite as malty and caramel-like as other "Speciales". Fresh, slightly perfumy notes balanced well by a pronounced bitter finish. 160698
