Clear reddish color, short off-white head. Aroma is malty and a bit fruity, but quite weak. Taste is a bit spicy and malty, but again quite weak. It carbonates on the tongue. Not impressed by either of the pilaarbijters...

Rerate 2/2013. +++ Sampled on draft this beer poured a hazy brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy tan head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart, sour and tangy with faint vinegar followed by maltiness, toffee, caramel, cherry, tart fruits, soy sauce and Sweettart candies. The flavor was dryish and tart with notes of caramel, bread, Sweettart candies, chalk, toffee, dark fruits, must and cola. Medium tart finish with lingering caramel, toffee and Sweettart candies. Moderately full bodied though a bit undercarbonated. Nicely complex.

A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of berries, coriander, cowberries, and raisins. The flavor is also very sweet with notes of coriander and alcohol prickling the tongue.

Clear yellow color, short white head. Aroma of skunky hops, some malt and grain, weird sour metallic industry perfume. Taste is watery, some bitterness, bit metallic sharp. The metallic sharpness stays in the palate. I’ve had a couple of those bad belgian pilseners, but this is one of the worst.
