Bottle. Beautiful big brown head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt with lots of xmas spices. Actually too many xmas spices and not mix that I like at all. Not a good balance.

Pours deep brown into a Trappist glass. Mocha-colored head recedes to hug rim. Pit fruit and dark caramel aromas. Smooth with sweet caramel and a dry prune finish.

Dark reddish brown, nearly black in color, with a dense, brown head - semi-tart, tannic aroma of grape and cherry skins, dates, brown sugar, mild spice - a nice fruity tartness starts things out, then comes the dark fruits in the way of plum and raisin, then a candi sugar, caramel and chocolate sweetness comes along, bringing with it an alcohol warmth and notes of brandy-soaked fruits - some bittersweet chocolate maintains a presence throughout - a nice progression of flavors, and quite a nice beer for Christmas.

75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown/black with dense mild chocolate brown head. Orange fruity and chocolate malty aroma. Flavour is sweet and citric towards a light acidic note. Delicate chocolate malt base with fruity hops on top and a solid fruity flavour from berries and oranges. Ends with a mild chocolate and berry flavour lingering into the finish.

Black color with brown hue. Good body structure, well mixed flavors, but nothing exceptional, some caramel, light chocolate, very light roasted malt…

Black color, thin head. Is it a porter, is it a stout... it’s anyway brewed as usual with good skills, but it’s no my style. Good balance, a lot of dark caramel, some roasted malt and chocolate, spices, light liquorice, light cardboard feeling. In the end I say: Stout!
