Description
Foam. It's always been an unconscious calling like drifting into a cumulus cloud bank on a sun-drenched day, or collapsing in a frothy curl of a breaking wave. Foam; it's natural beauty that rises up and is here and gone in a moment in time. I have spent my working life in foam, beer foam that is, brewing beer, conjuring up mixtures of malt and hops to ferment into a crowning moment of beer. Great beer has always sat under foam. Foam. It's not one ingredient that gives stability; it's many interwoven to create a structure of strength pouring out visual excitement. As I sit for a time, I enjoy that moment. All that remains is the lacing that adorns the empty glass and the making of a great memory. Until next time, see you under the Foam...

Canned 3/12/26, drunk 5/7/26.
Good lord that's a lot of...stinky pineapple and intense yeast? Like a very overripe, twangy pineapple, while also leaning in to an incredibly fruity yeast. Some lime, lots of mineral, candied citrus and a round, somewhat sweet, white bread-like maltiness. All of it gives a lot of intensity, but I'm not sure to much success, as the twang is real. That said, even after a few minutes, it's blown off rapidly and I get more of a lime tart character underneath.
Lime-accented peach and canned pineapple, but not twangy, just sort of sweet and overripe. Rather loose texture, but pretty good attenuation. Earth, chalk, yeast on the finish dulls things considerably. The lime zest character (or maybe it's more like preserved lime) is really interesting and compelling, and it has a pretty good body and attenuation, but it's a bit loose and watery and finishes too abruptly. Also, it drinks like it's about 5% or so. I've had NEPAs with considerable more flavor, complexity and texture than this.

Can: Poured a yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some citrusy bitter undertones. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some citrusy bitter undertones and a semi-dry finish. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable West Coast IPA but more resinous hops may have worked better.

On tap at Foam Brewers.
Appearance: burnt yellow bright to almost orange haziness with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet piney to orangey to kiwi and subtle danky crisp sort of sweet floral to subtle chopped oniony tone characters; some biscuity clean malts underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to brittle bittersweet sort of quality with a touch of juiciness in there; finishes mostly kiwi-ish to orangey and floral toned
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; good smoothness with a touch of hop bitterness assertiveness but mostly non-bothersome; good carb level
Overall: I say a pretty nicely done NEIPA I would be willing to return to.

On tap at Foam (looks like this was brought out of retirement and I'm glad it was)
Appearance: golden yellow color with a sturdy transparency about it and a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: lovely blend of biscuity to crackery to lime to lemon to a superb white bready quality
Flavor: what an awesome blend of the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet malty and sweet citrusy quality; finishes crisp and quaint with a lime-like brisk note
Texture: light bodied; sessionable; very good smoothness with nothing remotely distracting anywhere - just flows oh so nice!
Overall: what's the point of any BMC beers if this is flowing as much as it is. Why of course I would return to this!

Appearance: clear yellow color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated at a good pace to leave some super light lace
Aroma: clean cracker malts with a clean crisp lime smooth connotation
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to subtle limey bitter sort of crisp clean quality; finishes about the same
Texture: light bodied; very sessionable; very smooth along the tongue; good carb level
Overall: what a lager! Man, I hope they can this as I absolutely loved how clean and drinkable this was! Could be a stellar pounder next to the grill!

Draft at Paragon, 5/1/26. Hazy lighter orange color with a thin head and light lace. Grainy, grass, orange, melon, pineapple notes, and a little mango. Slightly sticky, slightly sweet. Solidly flavorful. Okay mouthfeel. Just kinda weird overall.

Poured into a mug.
Appearance: golden copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace and left some light spotty lace here and there along the glass
Aroma: a very nice malty sweet blend of honey-ed biscuits, slight herbal scents; sweet earthy tones; sweet floral hop notes
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine variety of sweet tones with a stealthy little bit of spice and herbal notes to balance; finishes with a speck of dryness but also a balancing note of malty sweetness
Texture: medium bodied; very sessionable; very smooth along the tongue with nothing distracting anywhere; no hop bitterness assertiveness whatsoever
Overall: what a Helles Bock! I would very much love to have this again.

Pint can. Grapefruit citrus aroma with notes lemon, candied orange, tangerine, pine resiny hops and melon. Pours clear golden colored with a finger of white head that has excellent retention and scant soapy lacing. Starts with juicy lemon, tangerine and candied orange citrus flavors. Finishes smooth but a touch dry with grapefruit, melon and pine resiny hop flavors. Quite nice.

Lemon and a little hay. Light on flavour but well balanced and pleasant. Pours hazy light yellow with good head retention. Mostly clean finish with just a hint of tang. Can.
