Old can I found on Press online. 2016 harvest, Lot 0617, imported by Shelton, lol. Snifter @home. Thin, unstable head, clear, amber pour. Sweet, macerated apple brandy nose. Taste is round & flat, low tart, cooked dessert apples & a little bittersweet. Hint of toffee. Earthy middle-end black tea lets the acid creep on the finish. Low, prickly carb, tacky. Very mellow. Last of this brand I'll see for a while.

Can from Press, no Shelton sticker. Pint glass @home. Medium gold, quite clear, serious almond soda head. Smells very gamey & earthy initially. Like sniffing French cider in a newly planted field; apple mulch & fresh fertilizer. After that passes it's earthy-sharp, macerated, sweet, slurried apples & really wet mulch. Taste is earth, big Dabinett leather, farmhouse, thick-skinned honey-sharp apples, dirty chitlins, sweet baby Aspirin. Very English with some pinches of acid. Confusingly sweet. Thin body, lingering acid, dusty residual, medium high heat, sulfite headache. Okay-ish.

Can from Press. Shelton Bros sticker, hmm... Three weeks of chill time, pint glass @home. Jellied, mostly clear medium gold pour. Fizzy, marzipan soda head that lingers a little greasily. Very fresh, arrested, juicy apples with a distinct & inviting mango note. Juicy-sweet & honey-like upfront, it turns bitter-tart down the middle. Cherry skin, oak & Chisel Jersey bitterness. Only reason I can pick it out is because I've had at least three Chisel Jersey one-off bottles recently(plus the label made me go oh, yeah). Thick, a touch sticky, fizzled carbonation, too low abv. So yeah, a little pedestrian & easy, but full-flavored & gives a little something interesting. $5, imported, legit cider(Keeved!).

Bottle shared at the Spring DC tasting. Poured a golden yellow color with not much of a head to speak of at all. Aroma was smooth, apples, smooth, sweet, but not sickly sweet. Really smooth and warming. Great stuff.

50cl bottle brought back from New Zealand, pours an oily gold, leggy, no head. Nose is sweet apple juice, some candy, some pear, honey. Sweet apple juice flavor, some cake, vanilla. Finishes a little hot but otherwise oily and lucious.

Some pecan. Icing sugar and mango. Pretty nice balance. Golden pour. Not bad at all. Some booze. Great balance.

Pint at LBQ Wellington, pours a murky watery gold, no head. Nose has some funk, but more rotting apple core than anything, green apple is there but red apple too. Flavor is similar, some apple notes, some earthy notes but not a ton happening. Finishes just drier than sweet. Earthy but I feel like this missed the mark. 6 2 6 2 10

12oz can pours a crystal clear, dark gold with no head. Nose is nice, apple cores, some juice, a little pie. Flavor is sweet with juice, but there's a lot of core and raw apple character. Finishes off dry. Well made.
