23/01 0.5 l bottle from a Merkur store in Graz. It poured hazy brown body with medium sized, almost white head. Pretty nice banana, vanilla aroma with only a bit of dark malt like caramel. Flavor was consisted of slightly licorice to herbal, plum and caramel dark malt side and now less prominent banana and chalk wheaty. Medium body with longer caramel and banana finish. Somehow we all liked pale wheat better.

23/01 0.5 l bottle from a Merkur store in Graz. It poured hazy yellow body with medium sized head. Yeasty aroma, earthy, some banana and orange, not too cloying although strong. Fine balanced flavor, again, banana and orange are dominating, along with bubblegum and cloves spiciness. Medium or even fuller in body with quite short and watery finish which was a bit surprising. Anyhow, it’s good German wheat!

23/01 0.5 l bottle somewhere from Graz. It poured golden body with tiny head. Honey and flowery malty aroma. Malty flavor, boring like all the Austrian marzens, eggy to honey-ish with hint of lemony hops. Medium in body with low carbonation, still had longer malty finish, which wasn’t particularly good anyway, as followed the taste. Again, those are not my type, but this is not something special anyway.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of Marko/heavy, shared with them.
Murky brown coloured, small off-white head, caramel banana nose. Sweet malty, dried fruits and yeasty taste with sweetish plum jam like finish. Easy drinkable and refreshing weizen but helles on is a bit better. 5.2%

Cloudy yellow coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, light yeasty nose. Acidic fruity banana taste with pleasant lemony hoppy notes in the finish. Surprisingly nice Austrian weizen. 5.2%

Yellow/golden coloured, small white head, dusty sweetish nose. Sweet malty, slight grainy and subdued hops with touch of honey in the finish. Low carbonation, watery palate. Nothing interesting here just another dull lager.

0.33l bottle from a sixpack bought at the Eurospar in Annenstrasse, Graz. Poured a lovely coppery colour pierced by nice streams of carbonation with a medium sized off white head. Light buttered smokey nose, more cheese than ham maybe, not too bad, slightly salty, some general malty nose. Not too pungent or wild but ok. Cute smokey taste, pleasant smoked cheese notes but ending slightly metallic, vague dried figs notes, maybe even bubblegum, some hoppy bitterness near the end. Kinda light body. This basically tastes like a (slightly higher quality) pale lager with smoked malt thrown in instead of some pale stuff, and that’s not necessarily bad, it turns into a nice sipper. They claim the recipe’s from Bamberg. Ehm, good for them, but hey, it’s not a bad beer in the end, more pleasant than the ratings so far give it credit.

0.5l bottle from the variety pack purchased at the Merkur in the Seiersberg shopping center (and kudos to heavy for spotting that the pack contained all those different Raschhofers!) Poured a brown/deep amber murky body with a slightly off white head, thick. Dusty sweet nose of bananas and some apples, a bit malty and quite nice! The taste is light and sweet, chalky, some acidity, malty, very light bitterness, maybe some banana. Lighter than their pale wheat and not as great.

5.2% bottle from a variety pack from the Merkur in Seiersberg. Poured a murky golden body with a small white head. Lactic nose of apples, bananas and some grain. And then heavy exclaimed loudly "ZWICKL!?!", convinced that we were drinking one and surprised by what he was tasting. To mine and Ogi’s unrestrained merriment. Aah, fun times. Light sweetish bubblegum-banana taste, very light pleasant acidity and even lighter bitterish hoppy notes in the aftertaste. A light, nice, pleasant, refreshing wheat beer that exceeded my expectations by quite a bit!

0.5l bottle, from a Raschhofer variety pack (5 beers and a glass) purchased at the Merkur in the Seiersberg shopping center, shared with ogivlado and heavy. Poured a golden body with a medium sized white head. Dusty, slightly acidic soft nose. Soft grainy taste, light hop maybe, watery. Meh.
