5.2% bottle from a variety pack from the Merkur in Seiersberg. Poured a murky golden body with a small white head. Lactic nose of apples, bananas and some grain. And then heavy exclaimed loudly "ZWICKL!?!", convinced that we were drinking one and surprised by what he was tasting. To mine and Ogi’s unrestrained merriment. Aah, fun times. Light sweetish bubblegum-banana taste, very light pleasant acidity and even lighter bitterish hoppy notes in the aftertaste. A light, nice, pleasant, refreshing wheat beer that exceeded my expectations by quite a bit!

0.5l bottle, from a Raschhofer variety pack (5 beers and a glass) purchased at the Merkur in the Seiersberg shopping center, shared with ogivlado and heavy. Poured a golden body with a medium sized white head. Dusty, slightly acidic soft nose. Soft grainy taste, light hop maybe, watery. Meh.

Tap. Hazy golden, white lace. Light dusty yeast. Fruity yeasty base, ok balance, sticky earthy aftertaste. Chewy sparkly mouthfeel. Okish.

Bottle in Vienna. Brilliant golden yellow color. Good, fine head. Hop and fruit aroma. Slightly skunky. Flavor is very fruity, with a citrus tang. Quite dry, but with about enough malt to back it up. A bit sweet, actually. -Slight cardboard taste. Very bitter, hoppy aftertaste. Very good, although not close to the level set by Hirter.

Bottle. Barley malt and lemon hops aroma - hint of barnyard aroma. Hazy yellow color with small head. Lemon peel, light malt and grass hops flavor. Nicely drinkable - however lacks the typical Zwickel earthiness.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild and spicy, the finish is a bit drier, modest sourish. Drinkable and good beer.

Bottle (Servus, Steffl !): Hazy, greenish-golden coloured, mid-sized lacy white head; sweet-grainy nose with a citrousy touch; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, a bit fizzy, light to medium bodied; fruity and slightly hoppy finish. A decent one............
