Cask-conditioned at Bristol Beer Festival, 24/3/2017. Hazy gold in colour, with a thin, white, head. Aroma of tropical fruits and grassy hops. Flavour had pineapple and grapefruits, some biscuity malts and a dryish finish. Very good.

Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and has decent carbonation. Light malts, modest sweetness. Hops are green and pithy. Some orange peel bitterness. Dry bitterish finish. Hmmm - had high hopes for this after a couple of excellent Crane IPAs but this one is back down to earth with a bump. Dry and pithy throughout, no brightness from the hops. Disappointing.

Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Light malt base with a very light creamy sweetness. Hops are very piney, a semi sweet pine. Nice light touch of mango led tropical fruits, a slightly jammy vibe about them. Modest citric peel developing mild bitterness. Light finis. Citric and tropical fruit linger. Light, clean, crisp and hop fruity. Impressive.

Pretty hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is fairly dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Malts are thin but still present a light creamy sweetness. Spicy orange and orange peel hops with a little grapefruit underneath. Good pine throughout and a developing peachy tropical fruit. Finishes light and semi dry with a mild bitterness. Piney citric linger. Impressive. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye, Powys consumed at home whilst cooking Conchiglioni with Salmon and Dill and a Pannatonne Bread and Butter Pudding for dessert. Amber in colour, unclear with a white filmy head. You get a lemony, pithy rub across the roof of the mouth and tongue. Really hoppy, a little brash and bolshy feel. Mostly citrus on the nose. I like it that it’s not sweet and gives the mouth a good work out. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle from Brewer’s Droop, Bristol. Clear and vibrant copper in colour, with a slight, yet frothy, white head that left rings down the glass. Aroma of sweetish malts, with a touch of citrus hop. Flavour had some tropical fruits, a spicy edge, balancing malts and a dryish finish. Solid drinking.

Keg @ Piccadilly Tap, Manchester. Black with a small off-white head. Potent with its coffee, it’s almost as stated in its taste, and despite its strength it feels fairly crisp.

Bottle from Brew Bristol. Almost black in colour, with a momentary, tan, head. Sweet aroma of prunes, milk chocolate and a hint of charcoal. Flavour was sweet up front, with more dark fruits, chocolate, and toasted malts, before a gentle finish with a faint tang and touch of ash at the very end. Very enjoyable.
