5th November 2017
Opaque dark brown beer, good dark tan head. Palate is airy and smooth, decent fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Very mild vanilla. A touch of tangy dark fruits. Very mild spice. Smooth finish. Pleasant but nothing extraordinary. For a 'cake' stout - coulda been sweeter and less tangy.

Had this at Bearded Theory Festival last weekend Sunday 28th May 2017 I’d picked this up from Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye, Powys online shop. Pours black with a slim beige head. Some chocolate and vanilla on the nose, rich but not too strong so quite easy drinking. Another solid beer from Crane A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Cask at Beer Emporium. Filmy layer at the top, laces well. A grey-golden body with a slight haze. Grassy hops with citric hints on the nose. Mixed flavour character of grass, citrus and caramel. Malt-fruity finish. Medium bodied and smooth in the mouth. Tasty. (Bristol 29.04.2017).
