Description
We are a New Zealand owned brewery run by a small and creative team. We brew clean, flavoursome and balanced beer with a Sawmill edge - the willingness to think for ourselves.
The Brewery was established in 2004 on the site of what was once a local timber mill established in the 1860’s. In February 2016 we moved from the original site in Leigh, and we now work from premises just out of Matakana at 1004 Leigh Road.

500ml bottle. Pours bright purply red. Raspberry, slightly acidity, touch of popcorn, plenty of raspberry, lots of raspberry jam stuff. Medium body. Pretty one dimensional, but it's a nice dimension. Potentially a small flaw trying to poke through but it's small enough to be ignored.

Can. Just amber with an inch of white head. High bead. Aroma of grapefruit, light bread, pine and some spices. Clean and fairly dry. Lightish bodied with quite high carbonation. A little crusty bread, lots of citrus, a little pine, firm bitterness. Nothing new but a solid and refreshing IPA under 6% ABV is worthwhile.

Can. Pale gold with an inch of frothy white head. Aroma of guava, grass and gooseberry with some crackers behind. Light and just a little thin on the palate with fruity Kiwi hops coming through in a finish that's quite dry but only moderately bitter.
