12 oz. bottle. Dark brown, with a reddish hint and a small, tan head. The aroma is nice, light roast, oak, sherry, peat, and floral hops. Sweet and malty, with a light bitterness and some booziness. Medium body, creamy, a little acidic, and malty. This is an excellent brown ale! Nice, mellow nose, and good balanced flavor. Overall an approachable, complex, and delicious beer. I’m impressed!

12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy orange, with a small, bubbly, beige head. The aroma is caramel, pumpkin, strong cloves, juniper, and some herbal notes. The flavor is sweet up front, with a strong, acrid bitterness and metallic twang. Medium to heavy body, acidic, harsh, and flat. Overall, this is an abusive pumpkin ale. The pumpkin is present, especially in the initial nose, but the flavor is surprisingly unpleasant. Thanks for mentioning it, Lutz2jm. It does improve as it warms, into something considerably more mellow and approachable.

bottle. So-So IPA - but enjoyable. Nothing really stood out - very conservative IPA, which can be good

Draft. Dark amber maroon color, beige head with good retention. Aroma of cherries and brown bread. Taste is sweet and sour cherries, vinous, reminds me a bit of Rodenbach.

On tap at trio in NC. It is an effervescent beer with a light clear golden yellow color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is acrisp fruity flavor tag resonates bitter on the palate

Crisp golden and very light amber coloured body with a soapy white head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of malt, grass, grain and a hint of perfume - not much going on in the nose. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic flavour at first with hints of grass and hay and a little twang of medicine and pungent bitterness and only a touch of hops to try to balance out the malt and astringent bitterness. Aftertaste shows nothing new and no depth with just the pungent alcohol and astringency coming through and nothing in reserve. Overall, a decent beer at best, but too much astringency, too many harsh flavours and not enough body or depth to make this good, even for the style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina on 02-August-2014 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington on 20-August-2014.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, bottle says 4.3% abv, bottle on date is not marked, poured into a glass. Pours hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is light coriander, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good small bubble lacing. Taste is light orange, some coriander, and finishes cardboard. Seems to be an old bottle.
