Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours brown with an orange hue and a beige head. A little citrusy hops in the nose on a bed of sweet roast. Medium body, sweet roast, licorice and quite a solid aromatic hop profile. Ends quite bitter. Very well made. 200312

Pours black with ruby highlights and a large, lasting head.Nose shows masses of hops, lots of fruit in there. Apples, peaches, passion fruit and pine. Underneath is softer roasted malt. Very nice! The roasted malt is much more prominent as a flavour. The hops carry through too, with more fruity and honey notes followed by an aggressive piney and roasty bitterness.Great moderately high carbonation, works perfectly!

Bottle. Clear dark red/brown with a light beige head that doesn’t last. Aroma of grapefruit, some tropical fruits - lychees, passionfruit - and a little pine. Light-bodied. Taste is fruity, with citrus and lychees. Clean, pronounced hoppy bitterness. No roasted or chocolate flavours really - maybe some slight toast or darker toffee. Pleasant hoppy beer that’s not too sweet and happens to look black for no particular reason.

From a 500ml bottle on 27/4/2011. Pours a light golden, with little head. Has a very pleasant fresh floral, fruity aroma (particularly passionfruit). There’s lots of flavour with bready malt set off against some big citrus hop action. A crackingly good pils.

From a 500ml bottle on 12/3/2011. Pours a light amber. Has a distinct fruity and caramel malt aroma, with a hint of pine. The flavour is dominated by caramel malt and citrus fruit, with a good hop kick at the end. This is a very nice APA.

Pours dark amber with a large, lasting head.Nose shows fruity and grassy hops... and weed... First beer I’ve ever said that about. The fruit is mainly apples and pears, but what really shines through in the aroma is the malt; loads of sweet caramel, toffee and cookie dough-like characters. Quite enticing. The malt continues to dominate as a flavour with very similar characters and perhaps even a hint of toasted malt. Unfortunately there’s more than a hint of hot alcohol mixing in with the resinous, sharp finish.Carbonation could be upped a little to cut through the sweetness.
