50cl bottle at O’Learys, Rygge. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a decent beige head. Rather hoppy aroma with some pine and citrus, not so fruity this time. Moderate to medium sweet with hops dominating the flavour, not so much of the malty and roasty ones. Finishes medium bitter. A bit lively carbonation and medium body. Fair enough.
Old rating: On tap at the brewery (RBNG-14). Close to black, with a beige head. Surprisingly fruity aroma with milder dark notes. Moderate sweet with a medium bitterness. A pleasant fruity and pleasant BIPA. (2014-02-15) --- Beer merged from original tick of Black IPA 6,8% on 08 Jan 2016 at 16:58 - Score: 6

Flaske 0,5l spandert av Rune og delt under samling hos ham 6 Feb 14. Batch #7. Gylden. Lett skyet. OK luftig skum med litt lacing. God fruktaroma. Druer. Smaken er tørket frukt. Fersken. Blir litt tynn men sikkert et utmerket matøl. Tørr ettersmak.

Shared 500ml bottle, batch 8, poured into a tulip shaped glass at Bar Bowling Førtito in Sarpsborg. Tiny white layer, fragile lacing. Hazy apricot coloured body. Lemony hops on the nose with semi-sweet malts beneath. Fresh citrus taste of peach and lemon that lingers throughout, herbal hops beneath. Medium bodied. Smooth and clean (Tour de Østfold, RBNG-event 15.02.2014).

500ml bottle, batch 9, shared with other ratebeerians at Bar Bowling Førtito in Sarpsborg. Tan-coloured head reduced to a remaining layer. Orange-brown coloured body, close to clear. Aroma of caramel malts joined by sweet spices. Anise, prunes and fruity hops to the flavour profile, vague lactose hints. Mild spiced hoppy ending. Medium bodied. Quite nice and, in fact, a fine partner to Chilli con carne (Tour de Østfold, RBNG 15.02.2014).

Taster at the microbrewery. Brownish creamy head. Pitch black body. Earthy malts with a solid touch of mocha on the nose. The flavour character includes soft chocolate malts, coffee grounds, and liquorice supported by herbal dry, bittering hops towards the ending. Well bodied. Likable sipper (Tour de Østfold, RBNG 15.02.2014).

Taster on a visit to the microbrewery. Off-white head that laced well. Cloudy, dark apricot coloured body. Citrus to the nose. Fresh taste profile of sappy oranges. Mid-dry citrus shells to the finish. Medium+ bodied. Fresh and clean on the swallow. Another nice one from Nøisom (Tour de Østfold, RBNG 15.02.2014).
