Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a hazy purple with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong funk, oak, berries. Thick mouth, jammy berries, nice funk, light tartness, really enjoyed this.

The beer is deep purple in color. Quite dark but not black even in the middle. Just very purple. Seems to be quite cloudy but the bottle wasn’t handled terribly gently. Small white head. Just a bunch of bubbles really and they dissipate quite quickly, leaving nothing behind. The aroma has a musky, cheesy funk character and lots of grape flavor. You don’t get that particular flavor from many American sours. It’s probably a bit grapier than it needs to be but it’s a nice flavor. A dark red spicy wine flavor. Some oak. Raspberries, vanilla, blackberries, blueberries. Some light woody spice. Taste is moderately dry. Lots of grape flavor with a fairly strong tannic presence but I actually sorta like it, at least once the beer warms. Medium light body with that tannic mouthfeel. I like it a lot overall.

Poured from a bottle courtesy of popery. Aroma is very grape forward with some medium light oak notes. Moderate barnyard musk with some nice light herbal notes. Light tropical fruit and berry notes. Pours a dark purple color with a small, thick pink head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers. Flavor has a moderate acidity with medium grape notes. Lots of tannins from the grape skins with some light oak tannins. Medium low barnyard musk with some light herbal notes. Hints of tropical fruit and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Medium tannic astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer with good barnyard and herbal notes. The tannins from the grape skins are way too strong in the flavor though and act astringent while overwhelming other characteristics.
