Description
Good in brewing beer. Bad in writing bios. Madness from Budapest challenging almost everything you know about beer. Always flawless, always bold, never boring. Not necessary business-wise all the time, but setting the standards high for ourselves every time as we truly believe in the cliché that goes like ‘the way you do something is the way you do anything’.

Can at home. Ruby pour with no head. Nose is berries, slighlty acidic, fairly sweet, a hint of vanilla in there too. Taste is, guess what, blackcurrant with vanilla joining in on the finish, some lactose sweetness too (maybe maltodex, the thickened/powdery kind anyway), somewhat tart upfront but finishing on a sweeter note. Does what it pormises I guess, not particularly sophisticated or exciting

Taste: pretty sweet, soft acidity, red berries, soft bitterness, buttery, diacetyl. Aftertaste: bit acidic, jam, red berries, some vanilla notes.

0.44 l can Ogi brought from Hungary, shared with him, thanks. Hazy orange, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy, fruity, also grainy. Tropical, spicy and herbal aroma. Mostly melon, some onion. Sweet, fruity, peach and lots of onion. Smooth, sticky, still drinkable for 9%. Ripe banana in the finish, quite sweet in the end.

On tap @ II. Kraft feszt. Hazy orange coloured with huge head. Exactly what its name promises, sweet and tart fruity notes with bitter hops. Nice one.

0.33 l bottle. Pours hazy pale golden with white head. It has lleasant fruity aromas, like a fruit juice. Its taste, however, it’s not that great, resembles somewhat to medicine. Still fairly drinkable tho, just not the best wit around. 736311 Bottle again. Nose is strong citrus, taste is fruity (citrusy) upfront, with a moderate but definite malty finish. Light bodied with average carbo, goes down nice and easy. Definitely better than last time I've had it, no trace of the medicine taste either.

[keg hopped version, limited release] Hazy yellowish coloured with no head. Sourish grape, some floral notes and hints of hops in aroma. In tase the tart grapey-winey notes are the first to appear, with detectable woody undertones. The bitter hops come after, in the long lasting, lingering finish, where the wine also returns. If there were just a slightly more DIPA characteristcs to it, it’d be very close to perfection. Still, a very exciting, properly made brew. Huge up to the Mad Scientist guys for having the courage to take new directions. Hungary’s no 1 microbrewery for sure.
