A murky blonde hefeweizen with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of banana esters, cloves, light mineral notes, light vanilla, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity banana malt with cloves, light mineral notes, light vanilla, OK. 7-3-7-3-12

Hazy amber and copper coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus and rather piney hops - very nice throughout. Medium-bodied; Strong herbal and grassy flavours with a light tropical fruit and fresh hop flavour along with sweetness from the fruits and a good mellow malt that melds well with everything. Aftertaste shows the grain, a bit of the crisp malts, but more of the hops and way more of the tropical fruit than anything else. Overall, a very nice blend of an IPA with tropical fruits and pungency, while keeping it fresh. I sampled this pint on draught at Kloby’s Smokehouse in Columbia, Maryland on 12-July-2017 for US$6,00.

12 oz can poured into a tulip. Thanks Ben! Canned 6/12/2017. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of lemon lime citrus fruit and peel, light funk, a little toasty wheat/hay. Tastes of light tart notes, light lemon lime citrus. Light body with a dry and lightly tart finish. Just a touch light on the fruit.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of corn, wheat. Tastes of corn, wheat, citrus, hay. Light body with a dry finish.

Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a white head, that is barely a centimetre tall. Aroma of pure coffee, lactose, malt, toffee, sugars and somehow, more coffee - very strong scented. Light-bodied; Strong coffee flavours at first with a ton of cream and lactose with a little earth and funk with a touch of vanilla, oak and pure caster sugar with a smooth creamy finish. Aftertaste shows some grain, a bit of vanilla and fresh coriander seed and a ton of coffee flavours, but not in a bitter or aggressive manner, just the right set of flavours. Overall, a decent beer that feels and tastes odd at first, but turns out to be a good beer for the style and definitely unique. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from The Perfect Pour in Elk Ridge, Maryland on 28-November-2016 for US$3,99 sampled at my hotel room here in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on 19-May-2017.

Draft at the 2017 DC Beer Festival. Poured a hazy yellow color, with a small white head. Aroma was sweet malts, lots of clove, banana, coriander. Flavor is the same - some yeast notes, banana. Decent.

Draft at the Greene Turtlw- Annapolis. Another wheat ale calling itself a hefeweizen, Rating this as a weizen, even though it’s not, hence the poor rating. Milky pale golden body, no head . Faint citrusy aroma.Some of the wheat comes through in the taste, and that’s about it. Thin body too, no aftertaste. Would be a good lawnmower Bert.
